Disable spell check or auto correction LG G2

It is very simple to turn off Spell check or auto correct.  Just go to Settings > Language & Input > LG Keyboard(There’s a settings icon next to the gear.  You will see Word Suggestion/Auto Correction uncheck and done.  A lot of android devices have the same way of disabling predictive text and spell check.

Text entry mode

To change the text entry or predictive text mode, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap System settings.
  3. Tap General.
  4. Scroll to ‘PERSONAL,’ and then tap Language & input.
  5. Tap Default.
  6. Tap Setup input methods.
  7. Next to ‘LG Keyboard,’ tap the Settings icon.
  8. Tap Word suggestion.
  9. Select or clear the following options:
    • Auto correction
    • Suggest next word
    • Advanced word suggestion

 

Another important tip for you if you have lost the text message popup notification.

Go into the messaging. Press menu, then settings, then notification. Check all three check boxes.

Backlight

Brightness

To make the screen backlight brighter or darker, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap System settings.
  3. Tap Display.
  4. Tap Brightness.
  5. Touch and slide the Brightness slider left or right to adjust the setting.
  6. Tap OK.

 

 

Timeout

To change the time before the backlight times out, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap System settings.
  3. Tap Display.
  4. Tap Screen timeout.
  5. Select one of the following options:
    • 15 seconds
    • 30 seconds
    • 1 minute
    • 2 minutes
    • 5 minutes
    • 10 minutes
    • 15 minutes
    • Keep screen turned on

 

 

Home screen

Add widget or shortcut

To add a widget or shortcut to the Home screen, follow these steps:

 

  1. Touch and hold a vacant spot on any Home screen.
  2. Select one of the following:
    • Apps
    • Widgets
  3. Touch the screen and slide left or right to view the available options.
  4. Touch and hold the widget or app shortcut that you want to use.
  5. Slide the icon over the desired Home screen, and then release your finger to set.

 

 

Delete widget or shortcut

To delete a widget or shortcut from the Home screen, follow these steps:

 

  1. Touch and hold the widget or app shortcut.
  2. Slide the icon over Remove at the top of the screen.
  3. Release your finger.

 

 

Home screen wallpaper

To change the Home screen wallpaper picture, follow these steps:

 

  1. Touch and hold an empty spot on any Home screen.
  2. Tap Wallpapers.
  3. Choose one of the following options:
    • Select from photos

      1. Tap the Gallery thumbnail
      2. Navigate to and select the photo you want to use.
      3. If desired, adjust picture size and crop area by moving the blue borders.
      4. Tap OK.
    • Use a live wallpaper
      1. Tap the Live Wallpapers thumbnail
      2. Select the live wallpaper you want to use.
      3. Tap Apply.
    • Use a default wallpaper
      1. Touch the row of thumbnails and slide left to view more wallpapers.
      2. Select the wallpaper you want to use.

 

 

Lock screen wallpaper

To change the lock screen wallpaper picture, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Lock screen settings.
  3. Tap Wallpaper.
    Note: A screen lock must be enabled to view this setting.
  4. Select one of the following options:
    • Gallery
      1. Navigate to and select the photo you want to use.
      2. If desired, adjust picture size and crop area by moving the blue borders.
      3. Tap OK.
    • Wallpaper gallery
      1. Touch the screen and slide left or right to select the desired wallpaper.
      2. Tap Set wallpaper.

 

 

Keyboard

Change default keyboard

Note: You cannot change the default keyboard. However, you can change the input settings for the LG keyboard.

 

To change the default keyboard settings, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap System settings.
  3. Tap General.
  4. Scroll to ‘PERSONAL,’ and then tap Language & input.
  5. Tap Default.
  6. Tap Setup input methods.
  7. Next to ‘LG Keyboard,’ tap the Settings icon.
  8. Select or clear the following options:
    • Auto capitalize
    • Auto punctuation
    • Voice input
    • Path input
  9. Adjust the other settings as necessary.

 

 

Enter symbols & numbers

To enter symbols and numbers with the keyboard, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the alphabet keyboard, tap the 123? key.
  2. Tap the number and symbol keys as necessary.
  3. Tap the 1/2 key to see more symbols.
  4. Tap the Menu key, and then tap Insert smiley to access emoticons.
  5. Tap the abc key to return to the alphabet keyboard.

 

 

 

Turn on/off haptic feedback

To turn on or turn off haptic feedback vibration, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap System settings.
  3. Tap General.
  4. Scroll to ‘PERSONAL,’ and then tap Language & input.
  5. Tap Default.
  6. Tap Setup input methods.
  7. Next to ‘LG Keyboard,’ tap the Settings icon.
  8. Scroll down to and tap Touch feedback.
  9. Select or clear the Vibrate feedback check box.

 

Multitasking

Turn on/off multitasking

Switch windows

  1. From any screen, touch and hold the Home key.
    Note: A list of your recently accessed applications and tasks will appear.
  2. Tap the thumbnail of an application to switch to that window.
