Sony will hold a PlayStation 5 showcase on Wednesday, September 16. During this livestream, the company will provide information about upcoming games for its next-gen platform. Presumably, the company will also announce the prices and release dates of its PS5 consoles.
Sony announces the showcase will be held Wednesday night at 10 p.m. U.S. Time. The presentation will last about 40 minutes. “Before the PlayStation 5 comes out, we want to show one more time the PS5 games that will be released and released after,” the company writes. The showcase will showcase titles from Sony’s Worldwide Studios and partner developers.
The company does not name any specific games that are shown. It is already known that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released on or around the release of the PS5 consoles. Other games, such as the Demon’s Souls remake and Horizon: Forbidden West, have not yet been released, although the latter is scheduled for 2021.
Although Sony does not specifically report that the prices and release dates of the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will be announced on Wednesday, that is plausible. Earlier this week, competitor Microsoft announced the pricing and release dates of its next-gen Xbox Series X and Series S after being leaked. These consoles will be released on 10 November and cost 500 and 300 euros respectively.
